USPS Recycling Business Case

For the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), Soyka & Company performed site audits and developed comprehensive analysis detailing existing material generation rates, recycling activity, costs, and revenues of both existing and alternative material management practices, and “break-even” points at which changing from material disposal to recycling would be justified on benefit-cost grounds.  This analysis provided evidence supporting expansion of paper and board recovery operations nationwide, which has since been implemented.  Subsequently, we prepared and delivered a similar analysis addressing plastic films.
